HAS THIS STOCK FORMED A BASE TO RALLY UP?

I first blogged about Duty Free International stock here in this post . Since then, Duty Free International announced a less-than stellar set of results which caused its price to head south. Thereafter, the price seemed to retrace higher and I think the stock price should be slowly on its way up after forming a base at $0.315. My opinion is also made in light of the 10.5 million stocks trading volume on 18 Jul 2017 which seems to me to be some form of accumulation.

TOM K’s INVESTING STRATEGY FOR 2017

Investing StrategyDear readers, how time flies and time really flies! It was just like yesterday that I outlined my investing strategy for year 2017. I just want to share with readers my investing strategy for year 2017.

Year-to-date, I think pretty much, I am really into two kinds of stocks. First, beaten-down good dividends stocks and second, small to mid-cap stocks which show potential for aggressive returns.

SEMBCORP MARINE STOCK: UP and UP?

Sembcorp Marine stock
I read of a recent analyst report where the analyst expressed his opinion that Sembcorp Marine would not be put up for acquisition or disposed of by Sembcorp Industries. As a background, a Strategic Review of Sembcorp Industries is ongoing and this Review covers its subsidiary businesses like Sembcorp Marine. But more recently, I read of analysts reports which expresses the possibility that there is synergy between the offshore branch of Keppel Corp and Sembcorp Marine. The analyst reports opined to the effect that Sembcorp Marine might be acquired by Keppel Corp for synergy in light of the current lacklustre offshore and marine stocks markets.

10% increase in Price

Cost of living
I went to a food place which was recently opened after renovations and proceed to the mixed vegetables food stall which I had not been going for quite a while during the renovations. I ordered my usual rice and mixed vegetables dishes. I gave the cashier the standard payment of $3 for a mixed rice set consisting of one meat dish and two vegetables dishes and to my surprise, the cashier asked for $0.30 more as the price of my order was $3.30.

M1 STOCK: WHAT’S NEXT?

M1 stockM1 stock has been trending higher earlier following reports that overseas buyers are looking to acquire the stock. This led to M1 stock trending around the $2.25 price mark. However M1 stock price has been declining recently, even reaching an intra-day low of $2.05 on 7 Jul 2017 before closing the trading day slightly higher at $2.10. From $2.25 to $2.10, that was over 6% in price drop for M1 stock since news of potential acquisition were made. The price pattern on 7 Jul 2017 while forming a doji had already breached below the 200- day moving average on the intra-day low of $2.05 and it would have signaled a downtrend for M1 stock if not for the fact that the price went up slightly later on the same trading day to $2.10.

ARE THESE THE TOP 20 SINGAPORE STOCKS?

Dear readers, when it comes to investing, investors seek value and would like to invest in a stock which is undervalued that is having a Price-to-Book ratio (P/B) of less than 1. At the same time, income investors seek to achieve a passive income stream through dividends, hence income investors seek to invest in high dividends stock. So when it comes to a convergence of both the above camps, I believe Singapore stocks which are undervalued and which offer a dividends yields of more than 5% fully satisfy both investing camps.
