Before the local Singapore stocks market opens on 20 Mar 2017, these are the two stocks which investors must know:

1) Kimly Group stock

Kimly Group stock is making a debut on the Singapore stocks markets. The coffee-shop operator stock is the first stock of such a nature to be listed on the local bourse. Kimly Group stock IPO is around 8.3 oversubscribed and this points to the strong demand as well as expectation that Kimly Group stock should have a stellar performance on its first day of trading when the local stocks markets open later. At an IPO price of $0.25, the question is how much Kimly Group stock will trade at a premium over this IPO price. But I would always like to think that the stocks markets is always more than investors’ expectations, thinking or speculation, thus I would still think that there is a possibility that Kimly Group stock may dip a little below its IPO price.

2) M1 stock

M1 stock halted trading on 17 Mar 2017 after surging 7.9% higher on news that the three largest shareholders of M1 are considering “strategic review” on the stake they hold in M1. The stocks markets interpreted this as a possible privatization of M1, which sent M1 stock price up. M1’s counterparts in Singtel and Starhub also benefitted from the news as their stock prices responded with a move north each. Should M1 be privatized, this will mark a shift away from the usual thinking that consolidation is possible only in the property and oil and gas sectors here in Singapore.

That’s all folks for now. As shared with you in an earlier post, I will be sipping my instant coffee later while looking at how coffeeshop operator Kimly Group performs in its trading debut. The pun and link of coffee to coffee in the above statement is deliberately intended since I was not allocated any Kimly Group stock hence could only “lim kopi”.

3) Ezra stock

And there was the filing of bankruptcy by Ezra yesterday; this could shake sentiments in the Singapore O&G sector stocks and might send some of these stocks southwards. And also the banks since some of these banks have unsecured loans in these O&G stocks.
